The Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund continues to support companies throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, helping over 180 businesses gain vital funding since the start of 2020.

The Fund, which provides a mix of debt, equity and microfinance up to £2m, has invested over £200m across 957 investments to over 740 businesses since its launch in 2017. These deals have attracted an additional £237m of investment from the private sector, giving a combined value facilitated by NPIF of £445m.

The Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund works with 10 Local Enterprise Partnerships, Combined Authorities and fund managers across the North to support businesses across the North West, Yorkshire and Humber and Tees Valley regions.

The Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund project is supported financially by the European Union using funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020 and the European Investment Bank.
